Zachary’s Playground – Unlimited Play – Universally Accessible Playgrounds

2. The Magic House’s Calming Corner

Calming Corner – The Magic House 

  • Description: Located on the lower level, the Calming Corner is the perfect place for children with special needs and other visitors who could use a soothing space away from the crowded and loud spaces of the rest of the Museum. It is a private room equipped with a glider and a plethora of quiet activities to soothe and engage children, including books, sensory games, toys and a calming 6-foot bubble tube.

3. Chuck E. Cheese

Sensory Sensitive Sundays for Kids w/ SPD | Chuck E. Cheese (chuckecheese.com) 

  • Description: Opens 2 hours early on the first Sunday of every month, specifically for children with autism and other special needs. Reduced lighting and noise, food and games offered, trained and caring staff.

5. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema

St. Louis | Alamo Drafthouse Cinema

  • Description: “Alamo for All” are sensory friendly screenings open to all ages, including infants. These specially designated screenings the house lights are left a little brighter and the sound is turned down a little lower. The feature film will run without the signature preshow and without trailers. You will be allowed to move around the theater and noise is allowed.

2. Stride Therapy and Wellness

  • Description: Is a pediatric practice that provides child and family-centered Early Intervention services, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other related services to children of all ages. Stride Therapy and Wellness serve children and families who have a variety of diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, cerebral palsy, speech and language difficulties, motor impairments, feeding difficulties, developmental delay, and neurological disorders.
